چکیده

Due to slow time variation, variable run length and nonlinearity of sequencing batch reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment batch process, a multivariate statistical MPCA model based on double moving window along the time×variable axis and batch-axis is used for online monitoring the progress of sequencing batch reactor. Moving window MPCA along the time×variable axis can copy seamlessly with variable run length and needn’t estimate any deviations of the ongoing batch from the average trajectories. The MPCA model was updated by moving along the batch-axis. The proposed method has demonstrated that it performs better than traditional MPCA. Copyright © 2005 IFAC

On-line Nonlinear Process Monitoring of a Pilot-scale Sequencing Batch Reactor

This article describes the application of on-line nonlinear monitoring of a sequencing batch reactor (SBR). Three-way batch data of SBR are unfolded batchwisely, and then a nonlinear multivariate monitoring method is used to capture the nonlinear characteristics of normal batches. The approach is successfully applied to an 80L SBR for biological wastewater treatment, where the SBR poses an inte...

Process Performance of a Granular Single Bioreactor with Continuous Feeding and Intermittent Discharge Regime Treating Dairy Wastewater

In this study, granulated sludge synthesized in a sequence batch reactor (SBR) and then granulated sludge was transferred to continuous feeding and intermittent discharge (CFID) bioreactor. Two independent variables (air flow rate and hydraulic retention time (HRT)) were considered to optimize the process. Subsequently, long term performance (150 days) of the bioreactor was assessed by monitori...
